Revealing the effects of spatial and environmental components on beta diversity in amphibians metacommunities at different spatial scales

Objetivo / Aim: The main goal of this project is to evaluate the effects of environmental (deterministic processes) and spatial components (stochastic processes) on species turnover in tadpoles’ metacommunities in three different spatial scales in Brazil: broad (latitudinal gradient), intermediate (biomes) and local (locations within the biomes).

Spatiotemporal dynamics in Neotropical metacommunities: a multi-taxa and multiscale analysis
Resumo / Abstract:
Neste projeto buscamos compreender quais processos estão por trás do turnover temporal e espacial em comunidades de diferentes grupos taxonomicos (e.g., anfíbios, drosophila, serpentes, zooplâncton, etc.). As análises temporais e espacias serão avaliadas com base em variáveis abióticas que tendem a influenciar a distribuição das espécies (e.g., clima, estrutura do hábitat, etc.).
